Amr,

The stacks are informative. Ascribing personal value to each color is not unlike ascribing color intensity to light. The color spectrum is measured in Kelvin. Can a seemingly objective scientific system provide guidance for you? How did Munsell or Georte see color value.

I think the individual values are a good response to criticism of the building being over intelectualized. A system of measure / mapping remains, and an associative level of emotion is developed. Here one might be able to find more emotive qualities within each color, though I worry about attempts at making them universal. nor do I think they need to be - these are your experiences.

The section is also a good beginning. I'd like to see it develop further. I only understand the western edge, but not a response to the sun, or other site conditions.

Amr,
Good stuff! I really enjoy the conceptual process! I think the separation of the floor gives it the justification for the shape of the building. The different levels are like the different level of awareness we have when we are waking up, learning in school or just getting wiser with the time…is an accumulative proves (your stacking photo), modified with time and having consequences with the “stage” immediately above!.
My comment to the process, is that just for the practical side of the exercise, maybe now is the time to give it the technical approach ( the elevations, sections etc) so we can communicate now in a more practical language that can make the next link (site, materials, connections) just the way you showed you schematic section! (a great way to see the “stacking” concept)
